With over 6 years with the Edmonton Pride Seniors Group, Dave has had several roles with the organization including organizing and chairing the marginalized populations sub-committee and working on the Intergenerational Conversations with their esteemed colleague Thais McKee. Currently Dave sits on the Land and City sub-committee for ESPG.
Dave has worked for the Federal government since 2000. The last five years have been working for Indigenous Services Canada in senior roles in Education, Urban Social Programming, Additions to Reserve Land Management, and recently, Municipal Services Agreements between First Nation Communities and Municipalities. His breadth of experience and knowledge in Indigenous relationships is integral to the ESPG and planning for the inclusivity of marginalized groups.

In addition to his work on the ESPG, Dave is a member of the Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Advisory Council for the City of Edmonton. The group provides public input into the Edmonton Police Service’s strategy to improve quality of services for sexual and gender diverse communities and to prevent discrimination while members of the LGBTQ2S+ community access services.
Dave holds a bachelor from the University of Victoria focusing on History and Geography of the urban landscape and holds a master’s from the University of Alberta with a specialization in Urban history – Haussmannisation.
